 Community and Court Interpreters of Ohio (CCIO) is the premier interpreter's organization in our state. CCIO is dedicated to advancing the profession of interpreting in Ohio through advocacy and training. Here you will find plenty of information and resources about the interpreting profession as well as upcoming social and educational opportunities throughout the state. CCIO Members enjoy discounted conference fees, exclusive invitations to CCIO events, and a listing in our Member Network.

 


 

 

CCIO'S MISSION is to bring together community, court and medical interpreters in the state of Ohio; to advocate and promote the interpreting profession and the ethical and professional standards of interpreting; to provide a forum for discussion of interpreting issues among interpreters, agencies, organizations and individuals who contract for interpreting services; to publish information for its membership and interested parties; to organize and conduct courses and workshops for training and continuing education of interpreters; to hold regularly scheduled meetings; to serve in an advisory capacity to interpreters, courts, attorneys, law enforcement, healthcare providers, agencies and organizations who contract for interpreting services, and other businesses and groups regarding issues related to interpreters and interpreting.

CCIO is organized into three regional groups within Ohio (North, Central and Southwest). Membership is open to all persons and any organizations interested in the furtherance of the mission of CCIO. We encourage you to become active in our organization and network with other professionals in the challenging and exciting field of interpretation.
